Biography:

Thomas F. Moore, Jr., appointed Chase Saunders Assistant District Attorney in 1972. His very illustrious career as a jurist began with his election as a District Court Judge in 1976 and he was appointed Chief District Court Judge by Justice Susie Sharp in 1977. In 1982 Governor James B. Hunt appointed Chase to the Superior Court and he was re-elected in 1984 and 1994 to the Superior Court Bench. In 1997 he retired as Senior Resident Superior Court Judge of the 26th Judicial District, but was subsequently appointed an Emergency Superior Court Judge that same year.

Upon leaving the bench in 1998, Chase established a private mediation-arbitration practice and later joined the firm of Dozier, Miller, Pollard & Murphy in an Of Counsel capacity. Chase joined McNair Law Firm, P.A. in May 2000 as Special Counsel in the Firm's Charlotte, North Carolina office. His primary practice concentration is in commercial, business litigation, dispute resolution, and family law.

Active involvement in the teaching of law and the North Carolina Bar Association is a hallmark of Chase's life.

In addition to trial work, Chase has received many certifications and much specialized training in the areas of dispute resolution, both arbitration and mediation. The Best Lawyers in America® 2008
