Biography:

Attorney Nicole H. Sodoma is the founder of Sodoma Law, P.C., based in Charlotte. She has been in practice for over a decade, concentrating on Family Law, and opened Sodoma Law in 2008. Other areas of practice for the firm include Assisted Reproductive Technology, Estate Planning, Business Law, and Bankruptcy. Sodoma Law is located in Charlotte’s historic Walter Brem House, and has a second location in Ballantyne.

The majority of Ms. Sodoma’s cases focus on separation, divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, and equitable distribution, as well as prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. Through A.R.T. at Sodoma Law, the Assisted Reproductive Technology practice, she focuses on surrogacy and donor agreements, pre-birth orders, adoptions, and parenting plans for both traditional and non-traditional families. She is also a certified Parenting Coordinator, helping parents in high conflict custody cases to better co-parent and resolve disagreements.

Ms. Sodoma is very involved in the Mecklenburg County Domestic Court Bar Committee. This committee consists of lawyers, judges, clerks, trial administrators, and mediators who work together to make changes to the 26th Judicial District Family Court Local Rules, scheduling matters, and other issues directly related to Family Law in Mecklenburg County. She is also on three separate sub-committees supporting the Domestic Court Bar Committee.

In addition, she frequently organizes, participates in, and speaks at live seminars on the topics of child custody, child support, spousal support, equitable distribution, and domestic violence. Recently, Ms. Sodoma spoke nationally on the topic of Assisted Reproductive Technology.

A graduate of Cumberland School of Law, Samford University, Ms. Sodoma has been recognized among Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite, Top Attorneys in North Carolina, Super Lawyers Magazine Super Lawyers, and Charlotte Magazine’s Top Attorneys, among other awards and honors. In November of 2012, the Charlotte Business Journal recognized Sodoma Law as one of Charlotte’s best places to work.
