Biography:  
    
Russ Brinson is a member of Horack Talley law firm. Russ provides litigation and counseling services to a wide variety of individuals and business entities.

Russ has written articles for construction magazines and is asked to speak at various events on topics, such as employment law, non-compete agreements and construction defects.

Russ’s representative engagements include:
• Successfully defending a declaratory judgment action in Union County, NC and won a counter-claim which resulted in a jury verdict for an independent sales representative
• Defending a false claims action filed in Washington, DC by the United States against a commercial real estate firm which resulted in a settlement of less than 33% of the damages that the United States claimed
• Prosecuting a claim by a homeowners' association for damages to buildings as a result of slope instability
• Defending a claim for $8 million for misappropriation of trade secrets and unfair and deceptive trade practices in Mecklenburg County, NC that resulted in an agreed settlement of mutual dismissal.
• Protecting trade secrets and prosecuted misappropriation of trade secrets in NC court to preserve client's information and business relationships
